I’m sure you’ve heard the news by now but if you haven’t, Hasegawa Akiko aka Akky has just announced her pregnancy! So a gigantic full of onigiri happy birthday and congratulations to Akky! While she won’t be able to participate in upcoming work-related events, this is of course a wonderful announcement and we hope for Akky and her family to be blessed with a happy future. We love you Mikimiki! Onigiriha nano-!

There’s always the token boin lover in every group. Azusa Ps are an especially rare breed these days so I’m happy to have KenP around as the very first Azusa P from overseas I’ve met. Double Mt. Fuji!
HPT is proud to announce our very first mobile game, The iDOLM@STER: Afterschool Boys! That’s right, now you too can play the role of a foreign Producer and collect other Producer friends from overseas! Learn the struggles of what it means to be a “gaijin” Producer by purchasing price-inflated merchandise at your local anime convention, being kicked from region-restricted programs on nico nico douga, and getting into arguments with your boss over the PTO days you requested off for Japan!
The next featured Producer is garbejP, a Takane P from Norcal. He was one of the few gaijin Takane Ps that also went to Anime North 2014 to see Hara Yumi. When we talked to her Yumi expressed a little sadness that none of us gaijins were Takane Ps but we didn’t know garbejP well at the time so we couldn’t point to him. Dammit garbej!
As recently posted the ticketing info for idolm@ster’s 10th anniversary live at Seibu Dome has been announced. If you are purchasing any of the qualifying CDs/BD, HPT is asking you for help by donating your unused application codes to us if you have no intent on attending 10th anniversary. For 9th anniversary last year I also asked Ps on Twitter and Facebook for their help with unused codes and it’s completely thanks to that that many overseas Ps including myself were able to go. This year I’d like to ask Ps again for their help but I wish to emphasize please only submit your serial codes to us if you are absolutely sure you will not attend 10th anniversary.

Although completely by chance, it’s quite appropriate that #07 in our Better Know a Producer series is our very own 7thwraith aka JT and a P from the East Coast! You could say the origins of HPT were founded by my very own encounter with JT, which began as a simple twitter lodging request to a stranger for Anime North 2013. Since then he’s become a close friend but unfortunately as JT grew more as a P over the years so did the number of his waifus and today there’s unlikely to be a more famous DD (nipponese term for Daredemo Daisuki or “loves anyone”) than JT. If you don’t believe me just wait until you read the visual novel he wrote down below.
I promise this is the last P from Canada on one of these interviews (for now). The next interviewee is another Canadian P and also one of the lesser known member of HPT, in fact there are still many things I still don’t know about Erwin but after reading his interview I think he deserves the title for most chuunibyou P.
Every successful group of organized criminals has a tough and respected boss and Shinikenshi fills that role for us. Some say he once fought a tiger with nothing but a glowstick and a mahjong tile as weapons and won. Ok nobody says that, but in any case Shinikenshi is a very valuable member of HPT who is always helping the other members out, especially with buying goods from Japan. He even once sacrificed his own luggage just so he could bring back goods to the others back in the west (;_;). Being an old man, we really shouldn’t rely on him so often, but I guess it can’t really be helped. Sorry boss!
I promise this is the last Canadian P for now. #04 in our Better Know a Producer series, Seraph another Producer from the frigid north! It’s quite odd but you could say I’ve known Seraph the longest out of anyone in HPT. We both were on the Tales series online forums back in 2007 but we didn’t talk to each other much (remember I said Tales actually introduced me to im@s). 7 years later he would become discovered by the Canadian Ps and became more converted to im@s and that’s when I got to know him better. Life’s funny.
