What does "deresute" mean?
English: Idolmaster Cinderella Girls Starlight Stage Official Abbreviation
Japanese: アイドルマスター シンデレラガールズ スターライトステージ
Romaji: Aidorumasutā shindereragāruzu sutāraitosutēji
Common Tags: #デレステ #deresute
Gacha Envelopes
A blue colored envelope indicates at least 1 SR or above. Furthermore, a blue colored envelope with silver embroidery on the top indicates at least 1 SSR or above.
Will I be alright if I’m bad at rhythm games?
All songs have 4 levels of difficulty (Debut, Regular, Pro and Master). The most simplest difficulty is Debut which is suitable for individuals who aren’t very good at rhythm games or first time players. Start with the easiest difficulty, and one by one, aim to clear the various songs. Once you feel more confident in your abilities, try the next increasing difficulty. Adjust the note speed as you see fit (I recommend between 7 and 9 especially if you are a former SIF player) to make the game play feel more natural. Take advantage of Rehearsal Tickets to practice songs without using stamina. In addition, consider reading the Beginner’s Guide (TBA). Feel free to take a look at a concrete music strategy guide from the Music List (may be incomplete).
Is there a pattern to which events are held during a month?
There are 5 types of events in Starlight Stage, Token Events, Live Groove, Cinderella Caravan, Live Party and Live Parade. Since August 2016, the events are held in the order Token, Groove, Caravan, Token, Parade, Party over the course of two months.
How do I predict which idols will be released as SSRs in the Gacha?
Although some individuals have come up with various theories as to the release date of certain idols, none of these have been officially confirmed by the game maker. The only true rule which has applied to Gacha releases is that at the beginning of every month, there will be two limited SSRs released followed by one non-limited SSR the subsequent weeks till the end of the month.
Why can't I receive items from my present box?
Some items have limitations on the amount a player can hold. A user can only hold a maximum of 100,000 Friend Points, 10 Stamina Drinks (of each type), 150 Furniture Items and 100 Idols at any given point, though the number of furniture items and idols can be expanded by spending Star Jewels. If a user reaches the maximum limit, the item will remain in their present box. Most items have an expiry date of 14 days while sitting in the present box thus players should be mindful of this game trait.
Is there any way to increase the number of idols and furniture items I can hold?
You can increase your idol capacity by 5 slots using 50 Star Jewels and furniture capacity by 25 slots using 25 Star Jewels. Go to Menu (メニュー) -> Shop (ショップ) -> Increase Member Limit (所属上限解放) or Room Expansion (ルーム倉庫拡張)
Idol Training
Having trouble getting a Tiara
Room delivery boxes rarely deliver Tiaras. Also, including DEBUT songs, it seems relatively easier to obtain tiaras of a certain type from a corresponding song of the respective type. Play LIVEs with high star rank idols as the center. Finally, tiaras are awarded as prizes in events, so look out for these opportunities as well. As of December 2016, you can obtain tiaras by spending Money or exchanging lower-rarity items.
Lessons, Star Lessons and Special Training: Whats the Difference?
Lessons
Lessons are done to raise an idol’s level. Select partner cards to synthesise and raise your base card’s level. When you use same type cards (ie. passion, cute, or cool), the amount of experience acquired is increased. There is always a chance that a “huge success” will occur where you will gain 1.5x experience. Idols with special skills (ie. Rare or above) increase the probability to raise your base card’s special skill when used as synthesis material.
Star Lessons
If you have duplicate cards (specially trained or not), you can synthesise them to increase Star Rank. By increasing Star Rank, you increase the amount of money and rare drops from performing LIVES. Maximum Star Rank for each card rarity are as follows: Normal-5, Rare-10, SR-15 and SSR-20. Currently, with the exception of the Cinderella Caravan Event, the overall utility of Star Rank in the game is fairly low. For that event only 1 high Star Rank idol is really needed, thus, on average, it is not recommended to raise the Star Rank of other idols.
Special Training
Special Training is done to awaken your idol. Once your idol’s bond is maxed and you have collected the various material needed, idol awakening is possible. An idol does not have to be max. level to do Special Training. Previous games used a Special Training system in which 2 cards are needed, this is not the case for Starlight Stage. If you are able to special train an idol, there is no reason not to.
What is a Trainer Ticket?
You can obtain Trainer Tickets by clearing LIVEs. Using Trainer Tickets will allow an idol to gain high quantities of experience. To use Trainer Tickets, click on the Idol Panel and select Lessons. Click on an idol you would like their level to raise. The right upper tab is read as follows: Idol/Trainer. Select Trainer and decide which tickets you would like to use.
Where can I see the number of fans my idol has?
Click on Communications Panel (コミュ), then Idol Communications (アイドルコミュ). Select the type your idol is (Passion, Cute, or Cool) and search for the idol you are looking for, the amount of fans will be labeled as ファン数 (Number of Fans). You can also view the idol's fan count on the Potential screen and the Producer Note.
I have duplicate SSRs, do I have no other options either than to raise the Star Rank?
Do not raise the Star Rank as it is tremendously easier to gain a high star ranked idol through the Cinderella Caravan Event. Instead, one should keep one SSR and one SSR+ copy of the idol (ie. Awaken one SSR and leave the other SSR non-awakened). Awakened and non-awakened idols are considered different beings thus it is possible to put them both on a unit. One should note that a system message will result when an identical awakened and non-awakened idol are put on the same team, indicating that the 2D/3D model will be changed to a different idol, but the skills and stats will remain the same. In addition, your spare can be used as part of your support team.
What about duplicate event SRs?
- The lower-value SR (10 000 pt SR in Token/Groove/Parade events) generally has fairly low stats, so unless you're just beginning and have less than 10 SRs of that type you should use it for increasing skill level. Alternatively, if you have ten or more copies and you don't have an idol with equal or higher Star Rank you can raise the Star Rank and use it for future Caravans.
- The higher-value SR in Token/Groove/Parade events usually has good stats, as does the higher-rarity SR in Caravan and Party events. Depending on how strong your support team is it may be worth training up the duplicates for use in the support team. On the other hand, the utility of this decreases once one gains more SSRs, or a wider variety of event SRs.
- For the lower-rarity SR in Caravan and Party events, there are often enough copies that drop to justify raising the Star Rank. In particular, if you have ten or more copies and you don't have an idol with equal or higher Star Rank you should definitely raise the Star Rank. If you already have a Star Rank 15 SR, stick to using them for increasing skill level.
- Finally, you may want to keep one copy pre-special training if you really want to have both cards on the same team (e.g. for making a team consisting of all the same idol).
Is it necessary to raise Normal Rarity Idols?
In terms of performance-wise, normal idols are not a huge priority. High rarity idols (ie. SRs and SSRs) should take priority in leveling up. However, special training normal idols will allow you to receive 25 Star Jewels. In addition, certain milestones (1k, 2k, 10k, 20k) for the number of fans an idol has will unlock addition communication stories for that idol, receiving 25 Star Jewels for each. Note that fan numbers are shared between idols, regardless of different cards and rarities; thus, if you already have an SR or SSR for that idol it's not necessary to keep the N after it's been special trained and at maximum affection.
LIVEs
Which Idol should be put as the "Center"?
If your objective is to get a high score or to clear the LIVE, I would recommend idols with high special skills (ie. Score Up for high scores and Life Recovery for clearing). In the case of clearing a LIVE in order to collect rewards (especially during a Caravan), idols with high Star Rank would be the best fit for the job.
What songs are best for increasing PLv?
In terms of efficiency (ie. highest EXP/Stamina ratio), Regular difficulty songs are the best.
Can duplicate cards be put together in a unit?
Identical cards cannot be placed in the same unit. However, versions of the same card before and after special training can be put together (one of each).
What's PRP?
PRP is an abbreviation for Producer Rating Points, which is a player skill indicator. For each song, your high score is recorded as PRP, which is dependent on your score. A high score of 10000 is equivalent to 1 PRP point, and the total is rounded down. (For example, if you score 448000 on Onegai! Cinderella, your PRP value for that song is 44). On the LIVE menu, PRP is listed on the top right, listing your top 10 songs and the top PRP values corresponding to each. In other words, PRP is a high score parameter and indicative of a strong idol unit.
I would rather have my idols not speak when activating special skills
Go to Live Settings (LIVE設定), click on the Volume tab on the top right corner (音量). Under Volume during LIVE Play (LIVEプレイ中の音量), adjust the Voice Volume bar (ボイス) to your liking.
Is there a way to enjoy the LIVE without playing?
There is an MV mode in the game where you can enjoy the LIVE performance. No stamina is consumed, however the MV mode must be unlocked first by clearing the Master Difficulty song once.
I want to change the icon speed
Pick a song you want to play. After selecting a guest, on the top right of the unit select screen, LIVE Settings (LIVE設定) will be present. There you can change the icon speed from 1-10 with 0.1 increments (as of 1.9.0).
What happens when two skills of the same type activate?
If two skills with the same type are active at the same time, the one with higher boost overrides the lower one. For example, a 17% score up will override a 15% score up to provide a 17% boost. In addition, Overload score boost can override Score Up and vice versa. However, score boost and combo boost skills are independent and can be active simultaneously.
Special skill activation interval
The interval listed on the skill screen includes the active skill duration. For example, if a skill has a chance to activate every 6 seconds and the skill at its current level lasts 3 seconds, the skill will next have a chance to activate 3 seconds after the skill stops being active.
What mix of types should I have in a team?
If you don't have a tricolor SSR on your team, then you want all of the same type, so that the song type appeal bonus and the center skill bonus will apply to all the idols on your team. If score is being ignored, however, then the type mix doesn't matter.
The number of notes is less than the total note count?
If you miss the start of a long note, the end note disappears and cannot be hit, and hence will not be counted on the results screen. (ie. Missing a "Long Note" results you in missing 2 notes as they are connected, but this is only counted as one Miss.) In addition, if you pause and quit the game while holding a long note, on resuming the game the end note will also disappear.
My life is decreasing even though I didn't get a BAD or MISS
You put an idol with the Overload skill in your team. The Overload skill consumes Life on each activation. If you are concerned about this, try replacing the idol with a different idol without the skill.
My combo broke when I got a GREAT
You put an idol with the Concentration skill on your team. Concentration gives a high score bonus but makes it so that Greats break combo. Again, if you are concerned about this, try replacing the idol with a different idol without the skill.
I'm having trouble getting S Rank scores
Firstly, combo bonus is a significant factor in the scoring algorithm. Try songs where you can combo most of the song. Make sure you hava a balance of Score Up and Combo Bonus skills, and that you're trying to maximise your appeal value.

Event Specific
I'm new to events, can you summarise what each event involves?
As of 2016-09-30 there are five types of events in Starlight Stage:
- Token event: Play songs to earn points and tokens; spend tokens to play the event song and earn more points. SR idols are awarded based on points and point ranking.
- LIVE Groove: Play medleys of 3 songs to earn points; play the event song at the end of the medley if you do well enough. SR idols are awarded based on points and point ranking.
- Cinderella Caravan: Play songs for random drops of idols or event medals; spend medals to earn rewards. Higher star ranks give better random drops. SR idols drop randomly and can also be bought using medals.
- Live Party!!: Cooperate with other players to complete a Live to earn points and random drops. Better performance and better idol stats give better random drops and more points. SR idols drop randomly and are also awarded based on points.
- LIVE Parade: New in September 2016, play sets of 1-3 songs to meet objectives, earn points and gain attendees. SR idols are awarded based on points and attendees, as well as through fully clearing areas.
The event's not over yet, but I can't go into the event song/Groove/Party
Your phone local time is ahead of JST and has passed the event finish time. Change your phone's timezone to JST.
Miscellaneous
How do I change my user name?
Your user name is the name other producers/players will recognize you by as well as the name your idols will refer to you as. In order to change your user name, go to Menu (メニュー) -> Profile (プロフィール) -> Change Name (名前変更). Names must be 10 characters or less.
Can a beginner participate in events?
Yes, please participate. Even without strong units and idols which are vital to tier in events, one can still receive rewards (specifically an SR) through collection of event points. In addition, beginner players can able to capitalize on increased number of LIVE plays due to restoring of stamina upon leveling up.
How do I find another user's profile?
To find a specific user's profile, you will need their ID number. This is a nine-digit number which can be found in a few places, including on the title screen and on your own profile.
From the home screen, go to Friends (同僚) -> Producer Search (プロデューサー検索) -> ID Search (ID検索). The screen will show your ID in the grey box. Enter the other person's ID into the white box and press the pink Search (検索) button. This will bring up a result; the two buttons are for sending comments and friend requests. Pressing the body of the entry will take you to the person's profile.
